Ambassadors

Mission Statement

The UTSC Student Ambassador Volunteer Program supports the on-campus initiatives of the Office of Admissions & Student Recruitment.  The program endeavours to empower current UTSC students in a recruitment capacity, giving them valuable transferable skills and leadership opportunities.  Student Ambassadors leverage their personal experiences and expertise of UTSC to help prospective students connect to the campus and discover why we are an ideal location to pursue post-secondary education.

Through the Student Ambassador program, we connect our current students with those that are considering UTSC. This connection involves fun, meaningful interactions, positive communication, support, and an exchange of perspective about the UTSC experience. Prospective students will witness the close-knit community of this campus, while Ambassadors develop their leadership and public speaking skills.

Enrolment in the program involves participating in a series of large & small events, promotional video & photo shoots and other fun activities throughout the year.  Ambassadors can see all scheduled events in advance, and can choose which ones they are interested in attending.  Those with above the average number of logged hours will be validated in the CCR!  Information sessions and training will be offered throughout the year.

"UTSC Student Ambassadors love their campus, and actively look for ways to show it off. They remember the problems they faced throughout the application process, and want to share their wisdom to help new students. They are outspoken and charismatic individuals, and they try to make a difference."
