Admission Criteria for Academic English

Admission to the Academic English program is selective. We choose applicants who are highly qualified academically, but need to satisfy the English facility admission requirement. If you are eligible for this program, you will receive a conditional offer of admission to the University of Toronto Scarborough and an invitation to register for Academic English. Only students who receive a conditional offer will be able to register.

Admission criteria:

  • Must meet the admission criteria for the academic program to which you have applied.
  • Must submit English Proficiency Test scores.
