Three Easy Steps to Check-In
- Park or be dropped off where staff direct you and then head to the Social Science (MW) Building.
- Have your House I.D. letter and/or a piece of personal photo identification ready. You will receive your keys and student handbook.
- Our staff will escort you to your new house and answer any questions you might have.
If you will arrive after check-in day, email us before August 17, 2018 with your name, student number, date of arrival and approximate time. Students who do not check in on the scheduled move-in date are at risk of losing their space in residence.
2019 Winter Session
You may check into residence starting Sunday, January 6, 2019. If the Student Housing Office is closed, contact the Residence Advisor on duty to collect your keys. If you will be checking in after the first day of classes on Friday. January 5, 2018, you must notify us to avoid losing your room and deposit.
Room assignments will be sent in late August. Room assignments may be subject to change prior to move in day.
Pre-order your linens
Our partnership with Residence Linens offers you the opportunity to pre-order your bedding and linens right to your residence room. If you order by Monday, August 21, your bedding will be in your room when you arrive on move-in day.
All incoming-first year students are automatically registered for Residence Orientation at no additional cost. Residence Orientation is an exciting program that offers first-year students the chance to get to know fellow students in the residence community and become familiar with their new home in a comfortable yet exciting environment.
Residence Orientation runs from September 1st to September 3rd. A detailed orientation schedule will be made available upon checking into residence.
Item/Unit Condition Report
Each resident is required to complete a unit condition report verifying the condition of their residence room at move-in. This is an opportunity for students to identify and report any damaged or missing elements so that they can be fixed and to ensure that they are not held responsible for any damage the did not cause. This form must be completed within 48 hours of moving in or your room will be deemed satisfactory. Please click here for detailed instructions on completing the form.
If you find that anything is missing or damaged at move-in, or throughout the year, you should submit a Repair Request Form. Please click here for detailed instructions on submitting a repair request.
