Programming & Events

In addition to providing students with a safe place to live, we are committed to providing residents with opportunities to meet new people and learn new skills. To that end, our Residence Life team runs regular programming and also works with campus partners to provide a wide range of engaging programs for residents.

These programs are created with resident feedback in mind and we are always looking at ways to improve our offerings. If you're looking for something specific, talk to a Residence Life Student Staff and if it's not something we are currently planning, we'll look at how we can integrate it into our programming model in the future.

Each Monday, residents are informed about our programing options through the Student Housing and Residence Life newsletter, and we also encourage all residents to follow our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts where we regularly post.

Below is our program offerings for December. Follow us on Instagram for programming updates.

Winter Break Program Schedule
Winter

Winter Solstice: Join Hart House for its first Winter Solstice Dinner! While it may be the day that the sun is at its lowest, our spirits are still high, especially around a feast and community. Hart House and the University of Toronto welcome students at the University to register and join their peers at the Arbor Room for a warm night in of laughs, community and food.

While feasting on a tasty meal, join some of the Hart House Student Ambassadors in making buttons that are for you or for a friend, or play with an array of board games that will be available.

This will be a casual and spirited event so feel free to come in comfortable attire. We will be serving a meal of Middle Eastern fare from Zaad that will be plated by our group of holiday helpers during the evening.

Seats for the dinner are limited, please register by Monday, December 18 while spots are available. For assistance or additional event details, please contact Victoria Kourtis.
