Self-Advocacy and Your Accommodations – Tips and Strategies

Now that you have an accommodation plan, what’s next? How do you let your professor and TA know about your accommodations? How do you request them? What information do you need to provide them about your disability?

Join us on October 28th from 5pm – 6:30 where you will learn tips and strategies on how to be an effective self-advocate when requesting accommodations. 

The session will be on MS Teams.  MS Teams is a free application that U of T Students can start using instantly by logging into your UToronto e-mail account.  You can access an online version of MS Teams or download the MS Teams app for convenience and access to more features.

Registrants to this event will receive an email with the MS Teams Invitation to join this online workshop on October 28th.  You have the option to join using your devices' audio features, and video is optional.

Meeting Deadlines: Tips and Strategies

Does this sound familiar?  You have every intention to start your assignment early but you just don’t know where to begin.

You know the deadline is around the corner but you’re motivation level is low and you can’t do the work.

You’ve started the assignment and have researched the topic a ton, but you are experiencing “writer’s block”.

You’ve asked for extensions but now you are experiencing the “snowball effect” and are overwhelmed.

If any of the above resonates with you, sign up for this workshop where you will learn practical tips and strategies to help you get assignments complete in a timely way.
