Title/Position: Volunteer Note Taker
Make a Difference
The Note Taking program ensures that students with disabilities are able to access lecture material, which they may otherwise not have access to. Students who require the services of a note taker may have difficulties taking notes due to a physical disability, vision or hearing loss, mental health condition, chronic health disability, learning disability or ADD/ADHD.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide a copy of your notes to AccessAbility Services within 24 hours of each lecture. Attend your classes regularly and take notes.

- Past volunteers often say that being a Note Taker motivates them to attend class, be more attentive, participate in class discussions and take comprehensive notes, which works to benefit both the Note Taker and the student(s) requiring the notes.
To become a Volunteer Note Taker:
- Register at myAIMS using your UTORid to Log-in.
- Upload a sample of your lecture notes for each course.
- You will be contacted by email if your notes are required for a specific course.
