Biography

Juhyun Park, Ph.D., will be joining the Department of Psychology and the Graduate Department of Psychological Clinical Science at the University of Toronto Scarborough in July 2024. Dr. Park’s research examines cognitive-affective processes that confer risk for depression, anxiety, and co-occurring problems (e.g., substance use, mania), with a particular emphasis on emotion regulation and reward/threat sensitivity. Her research program also focuses on contextual factors (e.g., stress, family environment) that can shape, alter, and/or interact with these cognitive-affective processes. To capture these processes and contextual factors precisely and comprehensively, her research program employs multiple methodologies (e.g., experience sampling, clinical interviews, EEG, self-report, behavioral assessments) and advanced quantitative modeling (e.g., multilevel structural equation modeling, mixture modeling).
