Participant Pools

Our department hosts two participant pools: an undergraduate student pool, and an Adult Volunteer Panel.  The pools are accessible to UTSC Psychology faculty and their research students.

Undergraduate Pool

The undergraduate pool consists of students enrolled in first-year Psychology courses at UTSC.  Students participate in three to four hours of experimental participation each term, for course credit. About 2000 unique students are registered in the pool each academic year.

Adult Volunteer Panel

The Adult Volunteer Panel (AVP) is a community registry of adults who have signed up as volunteer participants. Volunteers are typically compensated with a small payment for their participation, where research funding permits.
