Kim Edelstein, PhD, CPsych

Dr. Edelstein received her PhD from the Centre for Studies in Behavioral Neurobiology at Concordia University in Montreal. She completed post-doctoral research fellowships and training in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Toronto, Hospital for Sick Children and Toronto Western Hospital. She has been working at Princess Margaret Hospital since 2004. Dr. Edelstein's research program focuses on the effects of cancer and cancer treatment on cognitive functions. Current studies include the following:
- Neurocognitive late effects of treatment in adult survivors of childhood cancer
- Effects of radiation treatment on brain structure and function in adults with low grade brain tumours
- Cancer and circadian rhythmicity: the relationship between cognitive function and disruptions in circadian timing in patients with hypothalamic tumours
