Anthony C. Ruocco, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Dr. Ruocco is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Program in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto Scarborough and the Graduate Departments of Psychology and Psychological Clinical Science at the University of Toronto. He is the Program Coordinator for the M.A./Ph.D. programs in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He also holds academic appointments at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health in the Mood & Anxiety Division and the Hospital for Sick Children in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and the Neurosciences and Mental Health Program. Dr. Ruocco is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. His research uses neurocognitive and brain-imaging measures to understand the pathophysiology underlying severe mental disorders, especially borderline personality disorder (BPD). His current studies focus on identifying neurocognitive and neural markers in adolescents and adults with BPD and their biological relatives, and he is studying the utility of these markers to predict the outcomes of psychological and brain stimulation interventions for suicidal and self-harming individuals with BPD.
