The Management Community Service Leadership Award
recognizes UTSC Management volunteers who have been active on campus and in our community. Nominees must have provided (or currently be providing) outstanding volunteer service either making a strong impact within the Department of Management or within Scarborough or the global community in partnership with the Department of Management.
- Both length of time and diversity of volunteer engagements will be considered. Alumni must have been/be volunteering for at least one year and in more than one engagement opportunity.
- Taking the initiative to create new community engagement and/or learning opportunities for UTSC Management students.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to students during their engagement with on-campus and community activities.
- Demonstrating inclusive leadership by bringing diverse communities/community members together to advance the Department of Management, UTSC campus, and the goals of community partners.
Past recipients include:
Jessica started her career at McGovern Hurley LLP in 2001 as a UTSC co-op student. She stayed on with McGovern Hurley after graduating and is now a partner. The award recognizes Jessica for demonstrated volunteer leadership and community impact, as she inspires students to explore careers in accounting and helps build relevant industry knowledge in the classroom and through multiple career events.
