The Athletics and Recreation Centre at UTSC

The Athletics and Recreation Centre at UTSC is one of the hubs of activity on Campus and a gathering place for those pursuing a healthy active lifestyle.

The Vice-Dean Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies supports graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in staying active through rebate and special offers for memberships at TPASC.

For UTSC Postdoctoral Fellows:

UTSC Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (UTSC PFP) is designed to provide outstanding recent doctoral students advanced training in their field of study. These fellowships are not discipline-specific, but rather can be held in any department or research unit across U of T Scarborough. New recruits are encouraged to apply.

Postdoc fellows must secure sponsorship of a supervisor (or supervisors) from the professoriate at U of T Scarborough. UTSC supervisor(s) must nominate their prospective postdoc fellow following the timeline and processes outlined below.

The University of Toronto Scarborough’s UTSC Inclusive Excellence Postdoctoral Fellowship provides funding to UTSC departments to increase opportunities for hiring postdoctoral fellows from underrepresented groups, specifically Indigenous and Black researchers.

The University of Toronto Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellowship program provides funding to Graduate Faculties to increase opportunities for hiring postdoctoral fellows from underrepresented groups, specifically Indigenous and Black researchers.

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program is intended to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally; develop their leadership potential; and position them for success as research leaders of tomorrow, positively contributing to Canada's economic, social and research-based growth through a research-intensive career.

Highlights of TPASC Memberships for UTSC Postdocs (Adult, Couples, Family-1 and Family-2 memberships):

  • The First two months of the UTSC Postdoc membership are free! The Vice-Dean, Graduate will cover the cost of the first two months of the TPASC gym membership for UTSC Postdocs.
  • The UTSC Postdoc membership can be terminated without a cancellation fee after 8 months.
