Event Description: UTSC Creative Writing is very excited to host Jieun Lee from Annick Press. Lee will join us to discuss the ins and outs of YA, middle reader, and picture book publishing and to answer our questions.

About Jieun Lee
Jieun Lee is the assistant editor at Annick Press, where she focuses on promoting underrepresented voices, particularly in middle grade novels, and finding new creators for Annick’s list. She also works in the production side, helping facilitate projects as they move from acquisition to final publication. Her passion for kids books began at the library where she worked with reluctant readers from diverse backgrounds to promote a love of reading. She received the SSHRC award for her master’s thesis in children’s literature from the University of British Columbia on the experiences of Asian diaspora.
