  • Development of multi-species food web models to explore the dynamics of aquatic ecosystems including the role of spatial and temporal heterogeneity, predator-prey dynamics, energetic and physiological constraints, and compensatory responses.
  • Use of ecological tracers and electronic tracking technology (acoustic telemetry, data storage tags, etc.) to couple fish behaviour with spatial and temporal heterogeneity of the environment.
  • Risk assessment and impacts of aquatic invasive species.
  • Coupling climate and hydrodynamic processes as a means of understanding recruitment variability in fishes.
