Ian G. Hamilton

Prof. Hamilton's research is focused on the nexus of the energy supply-demand system, sustainable building technologies, sustainable built environments, urban environmental quality, indoor environment and health.  Ian’s research has included: investigation on the impact of energy efficiency interventions on energy demand in the residential stock; analysis of temporal and spatial energy use within the urban environment and its impact on the local climate; the trends and impact of energy use on indoor environment; residential stock energy use modelling; and, the integration of renewable energy into the urban form.
