What is University Life Like in February?

U of T Scarborough students studying in the library.

February can sometimes seem like the longest, coldest month of the year. Combined with a course workload ramping up and midterms around the corner, it can seem like this time of year doesn’t have a lot to offer. But you can beat the winter blues by taking advantage of all the outdoor activities going on:

If you’d rather stay indoors and keep warm, there are other activities happening on and off-campus:

Of course, with midterms on the way, you can always work on your study skills and strategies at a Study Success Session. Academic and learning strategists hold sessions every week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at noon. Bring your textbooks, notes, syllabus, and other course material for hands-on help.

If you could use a break from the books, there is also weekly drop-in groups open for some moments of mindfulness. Take 30 minutes out of your busy week with Pause on Mondays or check out Relaxation and Meditation on Wednesdays – mats and meditation cushions provided.

Finding balance in your academic and campus life is all part of the student experience. It’s important to stay healthy and resilient for your success. The Office of Student Affairs & Services is here to support you. Below you will find a list of our departments. You can also stay connected to us with the new UTSC Student Experience App.
