Column Notes

Column notes is a method of notetaking that may help you with organization, creates space for your ideas and thoughts, and questions you may have about what you are writing down. This method allows you to identify main ideas, synthesize the information and increase your comprehension of the material. You may feel less overwhelmed with the content of your notes using this method.

Below you will find two videos demonstrating how to create 2 or 3 columns for note taking.  While the 3 column video is specifically referencing note taking for math, 3 columns can be used for other subjects.

Choose how content is organized by highlighting in different colours, extract higlights or drag and drop to column notes, select highlight (e.g., all yellow highlights) into your preferred column (e.g., column 2)
