Meet the Speakers (in alphabetical order)
Sandford Borins
Sandford Borins is Professor Emeritus of Strategic Management in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough, where he served as its founding Chair from 1991 to 2003. He held graduate appointments at the Strategic Management area at the Rotman School of Management, the School of Public Policy and Governance, and the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto.
His research focuses on narrative and innovation. His books include “Negotiating Business Narratives” (2018), "The Persistence of Innovation in Government" (2014), "Governing Fables: Learning from Public Sector Narratives" (2011) and "Innovating with Integrity" (1998). He is currently working on a sequel to Governing Fables dealing with narratives about politics in Canada, the US, and the UK.
Adam Rodricks
Adam Rodricks is an international award-winning social media strategist and speaker who has transformed "word of mouth" into a world of mouth for Fortune 500 companies. His first book, Trigger Fingers: Personal Branding through Storytelling skyrocketed to the top of the charts, becoming a #1 best-seller in Canada in the categories of Direct Marketing, Public Relations and Business.
In 2022, the Speakers Bureau of Canada named Adam "Canada's Top Social Media Strategist" and the University of Toronto honoured Adam with their inaugural Young Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement, for his contributions to the field of Digital Marketing as a practitioner, author and public speaker.
Adam released his first TEDxTalk "How to Build Trust Online" this month and became an overnight success, amassing over 100,000 views in the first 29 days that it became available. It has gone on to be the ninth most viewed TEDTalk in the entire world this month.

Sakura Lee (Past winner and MC)
Sakura Lee is a second-year student that holds a keen fascination for videography, photography, and event management. Her aspiration has transitioned from a performing artist to becoming a film and video content creator, dedicated to crafting cool edits and relatable content that resonates with audiences. She envisions harnessing her creativity and storytelling skills to capture the essence of the world, ultimately uplifting and enriching people's lives.
