ACMSA (formerly known as ARTSA) is your Arts, Culture and Media Students’ Association at the University of Toronto Scarborough. As your official departmental student association (DSA) of the ACM Department, we’re here to connect you with the resources you need to make the most of your years here. UTSC has a vast network of passionate community members and alumni with opportunities available for you to develop your talent.

 

Gallery 1265

Gallery 1265 is a student-run organization operating under the supervision of the Department of Arts, Culture & Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough. As UTSC's student gallery, Gallery 1265 is committed to providing dedicated exhibition space and learning opportunities for student artists, curators and arts managers.

Admission is free and the gallery is open to everyone on campus and in the community – all are welcome! Whenever possible, Gallery 1265 collaborates with other campus or community groups to develop interdisciplinary programs and events. The gallery is located in SW209, just off the Meeting Place.

ARTSIDEOUT

(Arts festival)

ARTSIDEOUT is a large scale, one-day, multi-disciplinary arts festival that celebrates arts and culture at UTSC in both physical and conceptual spaces. Involving the widest possible range of students from different programs and backgrounds, the event celebrates creativity and culture at U of T Scarborough.

The festival showcases site-specific art installations, exhibitions, performances, concerts, musical acts, and film screenings. By using non-traditional spaces to exhibit creative works, ARTSIDEOUT aims to reveal the potential that is inherent in the everyday life and spaces of the U of T Scarborough campus.

Students are encouraged to get involved with the festival by volunteering or by applying as an artist. Follow them on the social media channels to view the full festival map and program!

Capture

CAPTURE is a student-run club at the University of Toronto Scarborough. We aim to foster an inclusive community of all things photography and filmmaking related! We hope to create a space for students to unleash their creativity and capture the moment!

Counterpose

(Visual arts, life drawings)

CounterPose is a student group centered around different forms of visual art. We provide free workshops, both virtually and in person, as a means of providing accessible opportunities to get creative and express one's self. Whether it's paint, weaving, makeup, or the traditional graphite, CounterPose will bring the supplies and you can bring the fun!

Drama Society

The UTSC Drama Society is a collective of student creatives discovering our theatrical and artistic voices and abilities through hands-on experiences as actors, directors, stage managers, tech, producers, and more! We strive to function as a student theatre company inspired and supported by the Theatre and Performance program at UTSC.

Music 303

(Community choir, jazz band, ensembles)

Music 303 is a club that oversees other music-related Curricular and Extra-Curricular groups, as well as assisting students involved in music-making to enhance their growth as a musician through a variety of measures meant to promote music academics, professional development, and networking. Music 303 is committed to enhancing music making opportunities on campus for all UTSC students, and to promoting these opportunities to all UTSC students.

UTSC Glee Club

The UTSC Glee Club is a music group dedicated to experiencing and creating joy and fun centered around vocal performance. Practices are conducted on a weekly basis under the guidance of talented student practice leaders in preparation for both recreational and competitive endeavors on and off campus across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
