Professor Rafael Grohmann host Paris Marx for a guest talk on the AI hype and critical perspectives on artificial intelligence. They consider that generative AI has a lot to do with corporate power and closes off a better future. Paris Marx is a technology writer. They host Tech Wont' Save Us, an award-winning critical technology podcast, and the Disconnect newsletter. They wrote the book Road to Nowhere: What Silicon Valley Gets Wrong about the Future of Transportation. They already published on TIME, Wired, Insider, NBC News, CBC News, Jacobin, among others. Their research interests are technology, cities, and the "future".
