Biography:

My research is focused on aesthetics, philosophy of literature, and philosophy of art, especially where those intersect with philosophy of language and metaphysics. Topics that I’ve worked on include the ontological status of fictional entities, the relationship between works of art and objects that constitute them, and the difference between artistic and communicative intention. I am also interested in the history of philosophy, especially in ancient Greek metaphysics. Outside of philosophy, I have an interest in literary studies, creative writing, and visual art, and an abiding affection for coffee and cats.
