Thembela Kepe’s work focuses on people-environment interactions, land rights and the politics of development. He has fieldwork experience in several southern African countries. He has published articles in such journals as the Journal of Peasant Studies, Geoforum and Development in Practice. He has also published several policy briefs focusing on land reform, food security and biodiversity conservation, to mention a few.
