Rosemary Gagliardi in Ghana

Rosemary Gagliardi

Hi everyone! My name is Rosemary and I will be leaving for Accra, Ghana in September where I will be living for the next 8-10 months. There, I will be working with World Vision as a Research Intern. This position will require me to develop studies/research documentation on the Education, WASH, and Child Protection programs that World Vision has developed. This placement suits my interest in working with education and children’s rights. In Ghana, I will also be conducting research for my thesis, which I will write when I return from Ghana. Tentatively, I will be conducting research on the recent influx of adolescent pregnancy.

I am grateful that this opportunity has been granted to me by the IDS program, the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship Program, and World Vision. Excitement is an understatement for the opportunity to work in a field I have studied about for the past three years and I am eager to learn a lot while abroad.

As I immerse myself in a foreign place, I will be taking lots of photos and will be documenting my experience on Instagram. Feel free to follow me @rosiesgonetoghana.
