Hi there! My name is Luisa and I will be travelling to Pucallpa, Peru with WUSC for an eight months placement. During my time in Peru, I will be working as a Gender Officer with Alianza Cacao Peru, a cocoa cooperative, focusing on the participation of women and youth.
I hope that this experience will allow me to develop my intercultural communication skills further, gain a deeper understanding of the culture and social structure in Peru while making a meaningful contribution through my work and research.
I am honoured to have received two scholarships, the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship and the Scarborough- York Region Chinese Business Association Scholarship.
