Moni (Hi)! My name is Jennifer Trinder and I am a fourth year student at the University Toronto Scarborough. In just about a couple of days I will be heading off to Blantyre, Malawi. I will be working a local NGO, The Association for Early Childhood Development in Malawi (AECDM), which is an umbrella organization of The Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations (MANASO). I have the privilege of working to aid their efforts in childhood development initiatives for 8 months. Specifically, I am charged with the role of resource mobilization officer in which I will assist their efforts in proposal and report development.
I am very excited for this opportunity as I love working with children and youth. For the majority of my life I have been working with children in one context or another and am excited to bring my enthusiasm to the table. This opportunity provides a more behind the scenes role to support local initiatives across Malawi and I am happy to assist in any way possible.
