Hello Everyone! On July 4th 2015, I will be making my way to Swaziland for a 10 month placement with an organization called SWIFT (Swaziland Fair Trade) a partner organization of CAABWA ( Canadian and African Business Women’s Alliance). SWIFT provides training, trade and advocacy to support local businesses through the promotion of Fair Trade for the sustainable socio-economic empowerment of producers and communities of Swaziland. I have been accepted to work with the organization as a marketing and development coordinator where I will be responsible for establishing internal management systems, developing and facilitating modules for training as well as marketing and communication. I chose this placement because I am interested in sustainable development in respect to business and Fair Trade. Moreover I feel that I have the skill set to fulfill the position requirements, which make me feel confident that I will leave a lasting impact during my placement.
