Samantha Segarajasinghe (Sega) is a first-year student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Political Science and minors in Public Law and International Development Studies. She is honoured to have the position of First-Year representative for the Political Science Student Association (PSSA), where she is dedicated to helping her fellow first-year students become more involved in campus life by promoting inclusion. She aims to address both the academic and social needs of her peers through open communication and organizing events that cater to them. Samantha is passionate about deepening her understanding of Canadian politics and international relations, and she sees PSSA as a platform to further these interests. Beyond her academic pursuits, Samantha is also a student-athlete, actively participating in both the UTSC women's hockey and soccer teams, holding the position of the league's top goal scorer in soccer. Throughout her time at the University of Toronto, Samantha is eager to connect with faculty, create meaningful connections, and seek guidance that will help her thrive during her four years at the University.
