Bethany Tong

Bethany Tong is a third-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies, complemented by a minor in Music and Culture. Building from her previous roles as the First-Year and Second-Year Representative, Bethany is delighted to serve as the Vice President of Administration for the Political Science Students’ Association (PSSA) this academic year. Beyond her academic commitments, Bethany’s diverse interests shine brightly. As an accomplished musician and enthusiastic athlete, she demonstrates both passion and versatility across her wide range of pursuits. Additionally, Bethany has a keen interest in debate and has distinguished herself as an active participant in both Model United Nations and Model Parliament competitions. Driven by an abiding passion for politics and global issues, Bethany became involved with the PSSA to expand her worldview through interactions with peers, faculty, and renowned experts in the field of Political Science. She is equally committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment and is dedicated to lending a helping hand to support others in their academic and personal journeys.
