The Muslim Awards of Excellence (or MAX Awards) is an annual celebration that recognizes significant achievements and contributions of Muslims to Canadian society, by exemplary achievement in a professional domain or community initiative.
Nominated by fellow UTSC staff member Maryam Ali, Assistant Professor Aisha Ahmad was awarded in the "Woman of the Year" category, which recognizes a woman who has demonstrated significant achievement, leadership, and commitment to serving her community.
