Inaugeral event in DHS Allied Health Speaker Series held

Speaker Rozina Ramrattan addressing students

The inaugural talk in the Allied Health Speaker Series took place last week, captivating an audience of over 35 composed of students, staff, and faculty. The one-hour session delved into the diverse world encompassing careers in nursing and nursing/hospital administration, fostering engagement and discussion. Rozina Ramrattan, a Clinical Resource Leader for Inpatient Surgery at Michael Garron Hospital led the talk and shared insights into her career journey, explained the various facets and levels of nursing, and inspired attendees to aspire to excel in these fields.

The session concluded with a lively Q&A session, with both students and staff eagerly participating and seeking further knowledge. Many students remained after the talk concluded to extend their interaction with the speaker.

We invite you to join us on October 27 for another enlightening talk, featuring Chiropodist (and UTSC alumni!) Devina Sharma who will share invaluable insights about careers in her field with our eager students.
