Tameika Shaw boasts a 14-year career within the not-for-profit community health sector. Initially starting as a Registered Dietitian, she currently serves as the Manager of Primary Healthcare at TAIBU CHC. Tameika capitalizes on the intricate interplay between clinical, social, and environmental factors and her program planning expertise to spearhead various community and population-based healthcare initiatives. These initiatives encompass areas such as improving access to health and social care, expanding services, enhancing capacity, promoting preventative care, and organizing wellness events focused on chronic diseases. She does this all while maintaining an unwavering dedication to addressing the root causes of health inequities, particularly food insecurity.
