What do you do?
I am one of the Conference and Event Coordinators with the Retail & Conference Services team that plan and oversee on campus meetings, conferences, film shoots and a variety of special events

What is your favorite thing about UTSC?
The beautiful, natural outdoor setting -- servicing events can get quite hectic at times, so it’s nice to have spaces of peace and calm to go to!  Also, the campus community energy, spirit and strong focus on inclusivity, equity and diversity.

What is the part of your role at UTSC that you like the most?
Being part of the RCS team and working with an amazing group of people who are constantly building relationships with different clients and assisting them in creating informative, impactful and successful events.

What do you like doing outside of work?
Learning to swim; getting together with family; travelling

What is your favorite food?
Impossible for me to choose, although my favourite dessert is Crème Brûlée!

One morning I saw a coyote behind our portable (I’m still holding out for a deer sighting)!

I am the Coordinator for Camp UTSC. 

What is your favorite thing about UTSC

I love the celebration of multiculturalism and inclusiveness as well as the friendly staff and the culture at UTSC.

What is the part of your role at UTSC that you like the most?
First and foremost, I get to be a part of a memorable summer for kids. I also really enjoy the planning and logistics processes.

What do you like doing outside of work?
I love playing soccer, working out, and cooking.

What is your favorite food?
Where do I start? I love many different cuisines including Jamaican and Japanese, but I love oysters and crème brulée the most!

I played competitive soccer for over 11 years!

What do you do?
As the room booking coordinator, I help the University’s staff and faculty with booking common space rooms on campus. I also manage risk assessment with the university to ensure that all events on campus are accessible, safe, and fun! 

What is your favorite thing about UTSC
Our vibrant and lively campus community that sparks from our tight-knit bond and our common ability to be resilient through all adversity. 

What is the part of your role at UTSC that you like the most?
 The ability to help make someone’s day a little easier. Even if it’s a small win, I love being able to assist with removing at least some of the stress that may come from planning and executing an event. 

What do you like doing outside of work?
I love trying new foods and hidden gems in Toronto. I also love hanging out with friends, attending music festivals and visiting cool bars downtown!

Eggs Benedict! I love a good brunch Benny

I can eat over 10 crème brûlées at Gyubee in one sitting

What is your favorite thing about UTSC: The campus is gorgeous

What is the part of your role at UTSC that you like the most?  Business Development

What do you like doing outside of work?  Reading, Art Galleries, Museums, Gardening, Visiting small quaint towns, History 

What is your favorite food?  that’s hard, because it’s quite a few …. Jamaican (of course), Thai (street food), Italian, Peruvian and the list goes on 😊

FUN FACT   I have a Swiffer duster in my car which I whip out to do a little dusting when necessary, sometimes at the Traffic Lights, while I wait. 

What do you do?
I am an Events and Conference Coordinator on our team.  I help our clients plan both internal university events, and external non-university events. 

What is your favorite thing about UTSC
Our greenspace, we back onto the Rouge National Urban Park, so it allows you to take a scenic walk on your lunch to decompress, and see some nature while you are at it.  I also love that we are a family feeling campus.

What is the part of your role at UTSC that you like the most?
As an event professional, I am a dreamer. I love to dream up events with our clients and then see them come to life way better than the vision started as.

What do you like doing outside of work?
Travelling to different places, hanging out with my family, and watching some good Netflix shows.

What is your favorite food?
Greek

I have seen most of Canada, except for the East Coast.  I lived in BC for three years.

What is your favorite thing about UTSC

The wonderful and diverse staff and student body, and the incredibly supportive community.

What is the part of your role at UTM that you like the most?

The most rewarding part of my role at UTSC is getting to meet the most amazing couples and clients and being able to help them achieve all they ever wanted for their special day.

What do you like doing outside of work?

I love to travel! My all-time favorite place in the world to visit is Sao Miguel, Portugal - where my family is from!

Tacos & nachos!
