Come and learn how UTSC is advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals on Campus!

Building upon the success of the 17 Rooms event in October 2021, the Sustainability Office at UTSC is hosting a Knowledge Café to further engage the campus community in discussing UTSC projects within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UTSC strives to be a leader in sustainability with a mission to strengthen and grow partnerships with students and the community to support advancing the SDGs on campus.

Date: Wednesday, March 23, 2022 - 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

What is a Knowledge Café?

A Knowledge Café brings people together to have a conversation. Participants share experiences, analyze information, learn new perspectives, and together make sense of complex issues. By participating in the Knowledge Café at UTSC, you will connect with faculty and staff experts to gain a better understanding of current UTSC projects that are propelling UTSC to support sustainability on campus.

What are the three UTSC Projects we will be discussing?

Project 1: Greenhouse Gas Reduction Project (GGRP) Presentation by Deepal Patel, Manager of Energy Management and Design at UTSC

Project 2: UTSC Landscape and Public Realm Masterplan , Presentation by Jennifer Adams-Peffer, Director of Architecture, Planning and Project Development and Campus Architect at UTSC

After forty five minutes of discussion, everyone will return to the main room where they will present a summary of the room discussion.
