The structure and extensive amount of resources from Management Co-op really guided me through my university years. Looking back, I can definitely say Management Co-op helped me grow as an individual professionally and personally. Also, the plethora of resources on campus alongside the vast amount of learning opportunities from UTSC's close knit family is what makes UTSC very unique."

"I chose UTSC Management because the program provides you with both a foundation in all areas of business, and the ability to specialize in them. "The highlight of my experience with UTSC Management would be meeting so many incredible people. I have awesome friends who have become like family to me. Yashvi Shah | BBA 2018
Scarborough, Ontario
Program: Management & Finance
Previous Work Terms: Scotiabank
"One of the most underrated aspects of this campus is its supportive and friendly culture. UTSC's relatively smaller size is often quoted as a disadvantage, however, what people often don't realize is that its smaller size allows for a culture where one can get individual attention from mentors and staff. It also allows for easier communication between lots of different individuals in the program. Hence, if one puts enough effort into getting to know people and getting to know the campus, they can meet a large variety of different individuals across all years and gain valuable trade secrets regarding courses and jobs."

"The program promotes a supportive culture and students are always looking to support each other's growth and success. From a professional development perspective, the Management Co-op Department does a great job at providing students with resources to ensure that every individual is prepared in their respective seeking cycles. They offer a variety of services such as career coaching, resume critiques, and casual one-to-one advisor sessions to well-equip and inform students about different co-op and career opportunities."
Lachezar Arabadzhiev | BBA 2017
Varna, Bulgaria
Program: Management & International Business
Previous Work Terms: TimePlay, Microsoft Canada, Microsoft Florida
"The international component is what convinced me to apply and perhaps the valuable co-op experience; I did not know how co-op worked before I applied, but I just knew that work experience is something that would add a lot of value to my degree. Being able to apply the knowledge offered at at school into the workplace is extremely gratifying and useful. Having the chance to create my own company and work on independent projects. With the help of the university resources and staff, I was able to create a wireless charging solutions company that provides power to public venues."

Previous Work Terms: Audit and assurance at Deloitte, Corporate Finance at Unilever, Management Consulting at Monitor Deloitte
"The UTSC campus is small compared to other prominent campuses in Canada, which is a blessing in disguise. The small campus size makes it a lot easier to develop and maintain relationships with your peers. Also, you get to experience Toronto's mosaic of ethnic cultures without the hustle and bustle of Downtown. I would recommend this program to students that are still contemplating their calling, as it effectively provides the resources to experience various career paths while obtaining a business degree."
Daryl Chung | BBA 2017

"The UTSC Management Program is excellent for students looking to experience multiple streams of business within their first few years of university. The numerous active Management Clubs on campus and the Co-op Office act as the main pillars of support for students to enhance their social and professional skills. The size of the campus is the biggest hidden gem, it's great to walk across campus and be greeted by so many familiar faces. You never feel like you're just another drop in the ocean."

"I chose UTSC because of its ability to combine a co-op experience with the numerous University of Toronto's resources. As Canada's premier research university, the professors teaching the courses are world class - this translates into deeper learning, more opportunities, and international recognition. At the same time, UTSC offers something unique over UofT as a whole - co-op. Through co-op, I sharpened my career preferences, acquired valuable experience, and increased my skill level through entering the workforce."

"The small knit community has to be the highlight. You're not just a number here and with the fewer number of students, you get to know everyone in your year as well as those in the years above and below you. I picked this program because of its tagline "Experience to Lead". That's exactly what this program gives you; an opportunity to really try out new things and discover where your passions lie. This program gives you more than just a business education."
