Why would you recommend this program to a potential incoming student? I chose UTSC Management because of UofT’s globally distinguished reputation coupled with access to job opportunities at premier firms through co-op. I would recommend this program to students that are still contemplating their calling, as it effectively provides the resources to experience various career paths while obtaining a business degree.

What has been the highlight of your experience so far? The highlight of my university experience has to be representing UTSC at the finals of the national Unilever UNIGAMES competition. The finals weekend was filled with extravagance (all expenses covered, of course), and our team had the opportunity to present in front of Unilever C-suite executives. Also, the silver-medal finish with the attached cash-prize was a fulfilling end to a memorable journey.

What are your achievements to date? A large portion of my university achievements is in the form of competitive accomplishments. I have successfully placed first at several internal competitions and have had numerous podium-finishes at external competitions as well.

What is the biggest hidden gem about the UTSC campus location? The UTSC campus is small compared to other prominent campuses in Canada, which is a blessing in disguise. The small campus size makes it a lot easier to develop and maintain relationships with your peers. Also, you get to experience Toronto’s mosaic of ethnic cultures without the hustle and bustle of Downtown.

What are some of your favourite Management and Economics courses you have taken? "MGSC01, Corporate Strategy" – a case-based course taught by a world-class professor. "MGFD15, Private Equity" – the perfect combination between practical finance and management-level strategy. Also, the lecturers are highly accomplished UTSC Management alumni that often supplement the course material with their personal experiences!
