Ilinniaqtiup Aqqutinga (Inuktitut)
For the language translation of Scholar’s Walk the Inuktitut translation, Ilinniaqtiup aqqutinga, was chosen by member of UTSC Elders’ Circle, Naulaq LeDrew.
“Ilinniaqtiup Aqqutinga is Inuktituk for students who walk the path of education for their future to come.
My connection is to educate people walking in Scholars Walk. Education is teaching one to thrive for their work to the future. To guide them to the direct path of their future. The significance of Scholars Walk would be to learn and educate themselves for a better future. It is important to me because education is important to every human being on earth. We learn from one another. A student can be a teachers teacher too. I hope the community learn the importance of how to live a good life, how to be a better person, and pass down their knowledge to other people”. – Nauluq LeDrew
