The Doctoral Environmental Science Colloquium is an annually occurring event hosted by the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences. This initiative aims to celebrate the excellent scholarship produced by our students. The DESC provides a supportive and essential academic platform for Doctoral students to discuss their research, gain valuable feedback, network, and interact with peers and faculty members. DESC also offers Doctoral students an opportunity to cultivate presentation, communication, and public speaking skills.

The 7th edition of DESC is scheduled to be held on June 20th & 21st, 2024, at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The event typically features two high-profile (usually international) keynote speakers, two busy days with (oral or poster) presentations, some catering, and pub night(s). Participation is free. However, students are expected to register to attend the two-day event.
