Camelia Sararu holds a M.A. in French cultural studies from the University of Bucharest and a PhD in French literature from the University of Toronto. She is a member of SOCAR (Société ontarienne des chercheurs en Ancien Régime) and her research interests include 17th-century French literature, travel writing and representations of cross-cultural encounters in the early modern period. Camelia has taught various French culture and language courses in the CFL and at the St. George campus. She is currently collaborating with Prof. Sébastien Drouin on a research project focused on studying European intellectual networks and editing erudite correspondences from the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
