The East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club welcomes UTSC student volunteers to support two of its after-school programs: Raising the Grade and Giant Steps. Both programs focus on mentoring, homework support, and access to post-secondary education.

These programs engage UTSC students in tutoring and mentoring local youth (middle school and high school) on a weekly basis. The East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club provides a bus and transports UTSC students to and from the site.

The East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club has been serving Scarborough since 1956. Each year, the club provides service to over 7,000 children and youth in over 15 locations throughout the East Scarborough community.

Commitment:

Raising the Grade supporting high school youth: Monday and/or Friday from 6-8pm. Once a week starting in October, or twice a week if your schedule allows.

Giant Steps supporting middle school youth: Tuesday and/or Thursday from 3:30-5pm. Once a week starting in October, or twice a week if your schedule allows.
