Heidi Craig’s research and teaching focuses on Digital Humanities, Early Modern Literature, and Book History. She is the author of Theatre Closure and the Paradoxical Rise of English Renaissance Drama in the Civil Wars (Cambridge University Press, 2023), and has published numerous articles and chapters on digital bibliography and pedagogy, Shakespeare and early modern literature, and textual culture. She has served as editor for two large-scale digital resources: World Shakespeare Bibliography, and Early Modern Dramatic Paratexts, the latter co-created with Sonia Massai. She has also started work on her second monograph, a transnational and transhistorical examination of rag pickers in textual culture.

Heidi Craig completed her PhD at the University of Toronto in 2017. Prior to returning to the University of Toronto, she was an Assistant Professor of English at Texas A&M University from 2019 to 2023. She is the recipient of research fellowships from the Folger Shakespeare Library, Marsh’s Library, the Huntington Library, and the Newberry Library.
