October 6th 2024 is University of Toronto Scarborough's (UTSC's) 60th Anniversary.
Plans are well underway to bring the UTSC and surrounding community opportunities to acknowledge our past, recognize and celebrate the present and inspire inclusive excellence for the future.
Upcoming anniversary projects, activities and events
This milestone will be acknowledged from Spring 2024 to Summer 2025 with projects, activities and events.
60th Anniversary Legacy Fund
The University has created a 60th Anniversary Legacy Fund to bring your ideas to life. Submissions to the fund were due on January 31st and the adjudication process has begun. The recipients will be listed here in April.
60th Anniversary Themes and Branding
We encourage you to incorporate the 60th Anniversary themes and branding into everything you have planned for Spring 2024 to Summer 2025.

We have a number of new and growing spaces coming to campus
- Sam Ibrahim Building - Opening in 2024
- Indigenous House - Opening in 2025
- Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health - Opening in 2026
- Campus Farm is growing
Other milestones to celebrate
- The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, which would not be possible without U of T Scarborough student funding, is celebrating 10 years!
- The Green Path Program will be celebrating its 20th year - not only does the program help students from China off to a great start in Canada, but it provides a foundation for academic success.
- The Music program will celebrate their 50th Anniversary as well as a new music industry program.
- The Co-op program, a longstanding strength of experiential learning at UTSC, will also be celebrating 50 years!
