ALL: Welcome to the Authentic Learning Lab

Lab Activities

The Authentic Learning Lab (ALL) focuses on developing and assessing inclusive educational resources designed to create authentic and immersive learning opportunities for students. With the help of the UTSC Psychology Department, a University of Toronto ITIF Support Stream Grant (2018-2021), and a University of Toronto LEAF Impact Grant (2022-2025), the Authentic Learning Lab (ALL) is currently working to develop and evaluate the Game of Social Life: Dreams, a digital learning game focused on using interactive story telling to teach about privilege, oppression, empowerment, and social advocacy from an intersectional lens. Our lab is built on a student-partnership model in which students are welcomed as collaborative partners in the research and teaching process. See below for information on how to get involved.

Graduate Students

My Teaching Stream appointment is focused on undergraduate education. As such, I do not formally supervise graduate students or their research projects. With that said, graduate students are always welcomed and valued as volunteers in our lab and/or as part of one of our advisory groups. If you want to be directly involved in our game development activities, please complete the Volunteer Application Form. If you are interested in joining one of our advisory groups, please email me at kosha.bramesfeld@utoronto.ca to inquire about the available opportunities.

Faculty, Staff, Educators, Alumni, and Community Members

Our team is in the process of putting together a range of advisory groups to help mentor our students and provide guidance on our game development activities. If you are interested in joining one of these advisory teams, please email me at kosha.bramesfeld@utoronto.ca to inquire about the available opportunities.
