The clIMate Policy & ACTion (IMPACT) Lab, led by Prof Laura Tozer, is a community-based and policy-engaged research group focused on addressing the climate crisis. We are strongly committed to diversity and intentional inclusion and welcome racialized persons / persons of colour, women, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2S+ persons.

Our current research projects focus on:

  • Municipal climate change mitigation planning and implementation in Canada
  • Building decarbonization to address energy poverty

We are an interdisciplinary research group focused on environmental policy and governance. Join our lab and gain skills in policy analysis, qualitative social science research methods, and transdisciplinary or community-based research approaches where we work with non-academic stakeholders to address societal challenges.
