UTSC welcomes its newest member to the executive team

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Fenton Lemon as the Executive Director, Development and Alumni Relations, UTSC, effective June 3, 2019.

Lisa comes to the University with over 20 years of proven campaign, major gifts and planned giving experience. Her ability to develop a culture of philanthropy and engagement has played a pivotal role in her success as an advancement professional. She has participated in several successful campaigns, including the $15M Elm Centre Campaign at YWCA Toronto and the still-in-progress $100M Heart of the East Campaign launched by Michael Garron Hospital. Lisa was also part of the historic 2015 Myron and Berna Garron $50M gift announcement to Toronto East General Hospital, now known as Michael Garron Hospital.

During the last six years Lisa has worked in the hospital sector, most recently as the Vice-President, Major Gifts and Planned Giving, at the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation. She previously served as the Advancement Director at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of major gift activities for the Schwartz-Reisman Emergency Centre, Cardiology, Patient Experience and Surgery portfolios of the hospital’s $500M Campaign to Renew Sinai. Prior to moving into the health sector, Lisa held various roles in YWCA Toronto’s Philanthropic Department, including providing oversight and direction for annual giving, planned giving, major gifts, research, and events. She also has extensive experience working in the educational sector, including 6 years at UTSC as the Senior Development Officer and as the Alumni Development Officer.

Lisa holds a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation, and an Income Manager’s Certificate from the University of Waterloo. She is also a proud UTSC alumna, with an Hon. Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Management.

Lisa is thrilled to be returning to UTSC at such an exciting time, and is looking forward to working with various partners to support the campus’ commitment to inclusive excellence and to advance the University of Toronto’s mission.

Please join us in welcoming Lisa back to the UTSC community.
