Through a generous pledge of $25,000, Muraly Srinarayanathas (DPLL 2018) established the Srinarayanathas Foundation Award in Political Science at the U of T Scarborough.

This award supports undergraduate students enrolled in the Specialist or Major Program in Political Science who have demonstrated financial need.

Q. What inspired you to make this gift?

The Srinarayanathas Foundation provides holistic, sustainable support to organizations focused on improving outcomes for underrepresented communities at home and abroad. One of our core pillars is education, including working to build future leaders and global thinkers. This award works to do just that.

Q. How do you hope your contribution will impact the UTSC community?

I hope this award inspires students to think big and carefully consider how they can leave the world a better place than they found it by becoming strong leaders inspired by civic action.

Q. How does supporting this cause align with your values or life philosophy?

Education is empowering and provides opportunity. The foundation and I believe we all deserve the chance to realize our full potential and contribute to a brighter future through a global lens.
