Graduating year: 1971

In September 2024, my husband Bruce Brydon (7T1) an engineering graduate and I (UTSC 7T1) will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. In 1974, it was difficult to find wedding reception venues that were fully accessible and we had a beloved aunt who was in a wheelchair. The arts and science building at Scarborough College was fully accessible and with an elevator. We hosted our reception for about 100 guests in the Faculty Lounge at UTSC and used the college chef as our caterer. His name was Tony, and he made a superb chicken and green grape entrée from a recipe that my mother gave him. As an alumnus, I was able to book the lounge for no charge. A memorable and affordable ending to a wonderful day!
