TRACES (Teaching and Research in Analytical Chemical and Environmental Sciences) is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary analytical facility located at UTSC. TRACES provides both instrumentation and training for users in diverse fields of study. TRACES maintains a multi-focused laboratory, dealing with diverse samples in disciplines that emphasize analysis in water, soil, environmental, material and biological sciences.

The Centre supports the teaching and research endeavours of our undergraduate and graduate students by providing resources and hands-on training. This access to technologies allows TRACES Users to remain on the cusp of scientific innovations and develop essential skills for research or industry careers in Chemistry, Engineering, Clinical Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals and Environmental Sciences.
