Oral history project uncovers stories of Scarborough

oral history project meeting

In the fall semester, City Studies students partnered with students from Women’s and Gender Studies and History to uncover the stories of Scarborough in the context of the inaugural interdisciplinary research seminar: Oral History and Urban Change.

The course was offered through partnerships with the Scarborough Museum, the East Scarborough Storefront, the Toronto Public Library (Morningside Branch) and Women’s Place.

Students presented their projects to the UTSC community on November 26 2013. The Scarborough Oral History Project is a partnership between the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies and the City Studies Program.
