BIOC14H3  - Genes, Environment, and Behaviour

This class will provide an overview of the role of genes in behaviour, either indirectly as structural elements or as direct participants in behavioural regulation. Topics to be covered are methods to investigate complex behaviours, specific examples of genetic effects on behaviour in animals and humans, and studies of gene-environment interactions. Prerequisite: BIOB11H3 or BIOB10Y3

BIOD19H3 - Epigenetics in Health and Disease

A lecture/seminar/discussion class on the emerging field of environmental epigenetics. Course will cover basic epigenetic mechanisms, methods in epigenetic research, epigenetic control of gene function, and the role of epigenetics in normal development and human disease. Prerequisite: BIOC14H3, BIOC15H3
