Crafting Sustainability

Join ACM Department for this introduction to embroidery workshop and learn about the doll collection from partner Maria de Lourdes Orozco Cuatle, an Indigenous collector. This workshop is in connection with the Learning from Dolls project. Maria will be at the workshop to introduce some of her traditional dolls that feature examples of embroidery techniques from different cultures and traditions. Participants will join together in learning some simple embroidery techniques, following the community-based practice for making many of these dolls and their costumes.

Drop in, no registration required.
